When future Dr. Gail Weingast’s educational journey started, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish at Jackson College, Tufts Universityin Medford, Massachusetts. Looking back on her education, it seems clear that medicine wasn’t a natural calling, or even her first choice for a career back then. However, it didn’t take long for Gail Weingast to change her mind, since she soon became a medical student at the Boston University School of Medicine, and she became Dr. Gail Weingast, MD in 1976.
